Google Chrome is now the most used internet browser in the world.

The most recent Adobe Digital Index (ADI) report revealed that chrome has leap frogged Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.

Chrome now has up to 31.8% of the market outside of the US market up 6% on last year’s figures. IE is down 6% to 30.9% and Apple’s Safar lies in third place with 25%. The biggest browser to lose out however is Mozilla’s Firefox which has fallen over 12% in the last two years. Internet Explorer remains the leading desktop browser in the US with a 43.3 per cent share.

However when we look at mobile there is a clear winner, Safari has a 59.1 per cent share of the mobile browser market, compared to 20.3 per cent for Android, 14.3 per cent for Chrome.

Previously Internet Explorer was the only real player but in recent years they have been knocked of their thrown and face stiff competition to hold on to the No1 spot in the US. Let us know what browser you use and why or what features would make you switch browser.
